Nelly Parties after Rape allegations are Dropped

Rapper Nelly, who was arrested last week over a rape allegation that was subsequently dropped by the accuser on Friday — was seemingly in a celebratory mood when he performed on Saturday in South Beach, Miami, at Rockwell nightclub.

We’re told that after Nelly performed his hits “Hot in Herre” and “Country Grammar,” rapper T.I. jumped onstage to defend his friend and told the crowd, “This is a great man right here. F–k what you heard, I know who he is. Come with the facts.”

He said to Nelly, “Put that bullshit behind you … F–k what a hater has to say.”

DJ Irie also backed up his friend and said, “They tried to tear him down. But they can’t keep a good man down.”

Karen Koehler, a lawyer representing the 21-year-old college student who accused Nelly of assaulting her on his tour bus in Washington state, posted a statement reading, “She wishes she had not called 911 because she believes the system is going to fail her.” The statement continued: “She never wanted notoriety. She never wanted a dime from that man. She wants to go back to school and to graduate.” Nelly’s attorney called the allegations “false” and a “fabrication.” According to reports, police are still gathering evidence in the case.
