Oprah Winfrey Makes Up With Whoopi Goldberg
Rumors of a 25-year-old feud between Color Purple co-stars Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg were cleared up on Monday’s Oprah Winfrey Show. Goldberg sat down with the media mogul for a special Color Purple anniversary show.
A very emotional Oprah revealed, “Whoopi came up to me and she said, ‘Can I just ask you something? … Did I do something to you? … All these years, you know, we’ve been disconnected and I just want to know, did I do something?'”
Oprah told the View co-host, “All these years I thought you were mad at me. All these years I thought — I thought that you thought — I don’t know what I thought.”
Whoopi replied, “It’s crazy. It’s crazy.”
Over the years, there’s been speculation about the rift, but now the TV stars reveal the real problem was miscommunication.
