Mariah Carey To Launch Maternity Line
Pregnant MARIAH Carey is planning to launch her own range of maternity wear for the “average pregnant woman” A source close to the star revealed.
The superstar singer — who is expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon – is teaming with fashion designer Linda Stokes to market a line of apparel for expectant moms.
“Mariah was frustrated with the maternity clothes on the market,” said the source from LA.
“She said pregnancy is an incredibly special time in a woman’s life and that she was disappointed in the lack of styles for expectant mothers.
“Mariah said most maternity dress designs today are either flowing tents or made of clingy, belly-hugging, spandex-type material that she said she refuses to wear when she’s pregnant.” adds the source.
“She said the outfits make her feel like an elephant in high heels.”
