Oprah Winfrey To Adopt A Child —Exclusive

Talk titan Oprah Winfrey is planning to adopt a baby together with best friend Gayle King, a source close to the star reveals to AfroSaxonHeat in an exclusive interview.

“Oprah has finally come to the idea that it is time to have a family of her own” Said the source  “She dearly wants a baby to love and cherish and who will carry on with her legacy.”

The media mogul who is stepping down from her popular talk show in September 2011, is hoping to have her little bundle of joy long before she retires.

“There is no question, Oprah wants to have this baby  before she pulls down the final curtain on her showbiz career. She realises that time is not on her side and knows that it’s now or never and she is going for it before it’s too late” Said the source who worked for Oprah’s production company HARPO.

Oprah,55, gave birth to a premature baby and then lost it when she was 14. “Now she feels it’s the right time to adopt”Adds the source “She has amassed a fortune and wants to pass it on to a potential heir and this is where that baby will come in. This kid will want for nothing”

And to make sure the kid is well-looked after if she dies early,Oprah wants Gayle,55, to take over in bringing  up the child. “Oprah is going to make Gayle the baby’s second mum. She knows that her best mate would be able to guide, nurture and love the child as if it were her own” Said the source.

Oprah and Gayle will be visiting a few orphanages to talk to young women who plan to give up their children for adoption.The daytime talk queen’s close relationship  with Gayle has always raised eyebrows, with insiders claiming that the two behave more like lovers than close friends.

Oprah is worth a staggering £2.5 billion and the big-hearted show business icon is expected to  leave half of her estate to charity,including an endowment for her beloved all-girls school in South Africa,and The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy.  Her best friend Gayle will get the rest.
